(VIDEO) A man desperate to get home ran into the border guard to avoid inspection at Yahodyn BCP

The reckless driver has been detained and prosecuted.

At night on April 21, when returning home, a man tried to break through the Ukrainian-Polish border.

At 10:30 pm a citizen of Ukraine arrived at the BCP “Yahodyn” by “Opel” of the Polish registration. After receiving the control ticket, the man probably decided that he had enough formalities and at high speed moved forward, leaving the border guard and customs control behind.

Having broken the barrier, the citizen of Ukraine ran into a means of forced stop, damaging all 4 wheels of the car. Subsequently, a few hundred meters from the BCP the border guards together with the National Police detained the offender.

During the dangerous manoeuvring, the offender inflicted an injury to the State Border Guard officer by hitting the border guard.

It was later revealed that the reckless driver had similarly left Dorohusk BCP in Poland.

According to the results of medical examination  alcohol or narcotic substances in the body of the man were not found. No prohibited substances or illicit items were found during the inspection of the person and his car. In addition, our compatriot could not explain the reason for his act.

According to the mentioned facts the border guards filled out the protocols on the administrative offense under part 1 of Art. 204-1, Art. 185-10, 202 CAOC. The National Police sent a report on the detection of a criminal offense under Art. 345 of the Criminal Code.

In addition, the staff of the National Police have drawn up protocols of inspection of the scene, in particular, about the administrative offense under Part 1 of Art. 126 (Driving a vehicle by a person who does not have appropriate documents for the right to drive or has not presented them for inspection, or who was temporarily restricted to drive a vehicle).
